Raspberry Pi Radio Module 2

The Raspberry Pi Radio Module 2 (RM2), part number RMC20452T, is a compact and easy-to-integrate wireless module designed for OEM products and custom PCB designs. It was originally developed for use with Raspberry Pi’s low-cost, high-performance microcontrollers, such as the Raspberry Pi Pico W and Pico 2 W, and is fully compatible with their software ecosystem.

The module is based on Infineon’s CYW43439, a single-chip combo solution providing single-band 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Bluetooth 5.2, including both Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Its castellated edge package and minimal external component requirements simplify hardware integration and help reduce manufacturing costs.

An on-board 2.4 GHz antenna is included for straightforward RF design, and the module features full modular certification, easing regulatory compliance for finished products. With low power consumption, shared-antenna coexistence, and extended operating temperature support, the Radio Module 2 is well suited for industrial, embedded, and IoT applications.
