Raspberry Pi Pico W is a wireless-enabled microcontroller board based on the RP2040 chip, extending the original Raspberry Pi Pico with integrated 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 hardware support.
The board uses the same dual-core Arm Cortex-M0+ processor running at up to 133 MHz, with 264 KB of SRAM and 2 MB of onboard QSPI flash memory for program and data storage. Wireless connectivity is provided by the Infineon CYW43439 wireless chipset.
Raspberry Pi Pico W retains the same 21 mm × 51 mm footprint, GPIO pinout, and Micro-USB connector as the original Pico, allowing it to be used as a drop-in replacement in existing projects while adding wireless networking capability.
At launch, Wi-Fi functionality is supported in software, while Bluetooth hardware is present but not software-enabled. The board supports programming in MicroPython and C/C++, and is compatible with the existing Raspberry Pi Pico SDK and development tools.
