SupTronics X1010 PCIe x4 Add-on for Raspberry Pi 5

The SupTronics X1010 enables you to connect a full‑size PCIe x4 card to your Raspberry Pi 5 through its PCIe interface. It’s perfect for expanding functionality with devices like graphics cards, RAID controllers, USB expansion cards, high‑speed network adapters, Wi‑Fi cards, or SSDs.

The board accepts 12 V power input through either a standard DC barrel jack or a 4‑pin ATX peripheral connector. Its onboard voltage regulators deliver up to 5.5 A for the Raspberry Pi and 3.3 V at 5.5 A for your PCIe device, ensuring stable operation for demanding setups. Designed to mount to the underside of the Pi 5, it keeps the GPIO header completely accessible, allowing you to stack HATs and coolers alongside your PCIe expansion.

Critical Warning: Never power the X1010 through both the DC power jack and the Raspberry Pi 5’s USB‑C port simultaneously — this will cause serious hardware damage.

The SupTronics X1010 is fully compatible with the Raspberry Pi 5 and features a PCIe 2.0 x1 FFC connector that adapts to a standard PCIe x4 slot. The PCIE_DET_WAKE pin is pulled high to automatically detect and probe the PCIe bus during boot. It offers flexible power options through either a common DC jack or ATX 4‑pin peripheral connector, with efficient delivery to the Raspberry Pi 5 via pogo pins for single‑source power management. A high‑efficiency DC/DC step‑down converter provides a maximum of 5.5 A to power your Pi 5, and it supports the HAT+ STANDBY power state by automatically shutting down the PCIe device when the Pi powers off.
