The SupTronics X1501 is a compact I/O carrier board designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5), integrating dual Ethernet ports, two M.2 NVMe slots, and comprehensive connectivity within a space-saving 87 × 88 × 25 mm footprint. Paired with a compatible PoE HAT, it supports both 1 GbE with PoE+ and 2.5 GbE networking delivering speeds up to 2.5 Gbps for high-performance data transfer.
Storage is managed through two full-size M.2 2280 NVMe sockets capable of up to 8 TB total capacity via PCIe 2.0 (5 Gbps). The board accommodates 2260 modules natively and supports 2230 or 2242 formats using the included adapters, providing flexible high-speed storage options for demanding applications.
The X1501 features two full-size HDMI 2.0 ports for dual 4K display output, twin 22-pin MIPI DSI/CSI-2 connectors (0.5 mm pitch) compatible with Raspberry Pi camera and display modules, and a microSD slot for CM5 Lite variants. The standard 40-pin GPIO header and PWM fan support ensure broad compatibility with existing HATs while providing effective thermal management for embedded deployments.
All primary connectors — USB, HDMI, Ethernet, and power — are thoughtfully aligned along one edge for simplified case integration and clean cable routing. Additional functionality includes a USB-C port for both power delivery and eMMC flashing, a dedicated power button for controlled operation, configurable jumpers to disable wireless or EEPROM write protection, and a CR1220 RTC battery socket (battery not included) to maintain accurate timekeeping during power interruptions.
