Raspberry Pi Pico is a low-cost, high-performance microcontroller board designed by Raspberry Pi for embedded systems, physical computing, and custom hardware projects. Unlike single-board computers, Pico does not run an operating system and is intended to execute dedicated tasks with deterministic behaviour.
At its core is the RP2040 microcontroller, designed in the United Kingdom by Raspberry Pi. It features a dual-core Arm Cortex-M0+ CPU running at up to 133 MHz, paired with 264KB of on-chip SRAM and 2MB of onboard QSPI flash memory.
Raspberry Pi Pico exposes 26 multi-function GPIO pins, supporting digital I/O, analog input, PWM, and programmable I/O. The board includes castellated edges, allowing it to be surface-mounted directly onto carrier boards for production use.
Programming and power are handled via USB, with support for drag-and-drop programming and development in C/C++ or MicroPython using the official Raspberry Pi SDKs.
This version of Raspberry Pi Pico is supplied without pre-soldered header pins, allowing flexible integration into custom designs.
