The Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 Sensor Assembly NoIR (120° wide-angle lens) is a standalone camera sensor module designed for applications requiring infrared sensitivity and a wide field of view.

This NoIR variant is based on the same Sony IMX708 12-megapixel sensor used in the Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 AF and provides identical powered phase detection autofocus functionality. Unlike the standard version, the NoIR sensor does not include an IR cut filter, making it suitable for low-light imaging, night vision, and computer vision applications when used with an external IR light source.

The 120° wide-angle lens enables a broad field of view, ideal for robotics, security, environmental monitoring, and embedded vision systems. Advanced imaging features such as HDR, dynamic defect pixel correction, and QBC re-mosaic processing ensure high image quality while keeping system complexity low.
