The Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 Sensor Assembly (76° standard lens) is a standalone camera sensor module designed to bring the imaging capabilities of the Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 AF into a wider range of custom and space-constrained designs.
In response to customer demand, Raspberry Pi now offers the sensor assembly used in Camera Module 3 as a separate product, allowing OEMs and developers to integrate high-quality autofocus camera technology into bespoke enclosures and alternative form factors. The module features the same Sony IMX708 12-megapixel sensor with phase detection autofocus, delivering fast and accurate focusing without additional complexity.
Advanced imaging features such as HDR support, dynamic defect pixel correction, and QBC re-mosaic processing ensure excellent image quality across a wide range of lighting conditions. With its 76° standard field of view, this sensor assembly provides a balanced perspective suitable for general-purpose imaging, embedded vision, and compact devices.
