The Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 Sensor Assembly (120° wide-angle lens) is a standalone camera sensor module that brings the imaging capabilities of the Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 AF into compact and custom hardware designs.

Released in response to customer demand, this sensor assembly allows OEMs and developers to integrate Camera Module 3 technology into a wider range of form factors without the constraints of a full camera module. It features the same Sony IMX708 12-megapixel sensor with phase detection autofocus, delivering fast and accurate focusing in a compact, integration-ready design.

The 120° wide-angle lens provides an expanded field of view, making this variant ideal for applications such as robotics, surveillance, vision systems, and space-limited enclosures. Advanced imaging features including HDR support, dynamic defect pixel correction, and QBC re-mosaic processing ensure high image quality across varying lighting conditions.
