SupTronics X1202 4-Cell 18650 UPS for Raspberry Pi 5

The SupTronics X1202 is a robust UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) add-on board for the Raspberry Pi 5, supporting four 18650 cells (batteries not included) to deliver reliable backup power and intelligent power management. It provides stable 5.1 V / 5 A output, seamlessly switching between mains power and battery backup during outages or adapter failures to keep your Pi 5 running uninterrupted.

The X1202 features smart power management that automatically cuts power when the Raspberry Pi shuts down, preserving battery life by entering ultra-low standby mode. Auto power-on restarts your system when external power returns, while safe software shutdown protects data during low-battery conditions. Compared to the 2-cell version, the 4-cell 18650 holder doubles runtime capacity.

Fast charging up to 3 A is supported with comprehensive protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, and reverse polarity. The integrated Maxim fuel gauge enables precise battery monitoring via I²C, with onboard LEDs displaying charge levels at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. Power inputs include barrel jack (6-18 V), USB-C (5 V / 5 A), or XH2.54 connector (6-18 V), with 5 V outputs available via XH2.54 headers and USB-A ports.

The board connects via pogo pins and mounts underneath the Raspberry Pi 5, leaving the 40-pin GPIO header free for HATs or coolers.
